Occupational Therapy

In its simplest terms, occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants help people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (occupations).

Speech Therapy

A speech disorder refers to a problem with the actual production of sounds, whereas a language disorder refers to a difficulty understanding or putting words together to communicate ideas.

Applied Behaviour Therapy

ABA is a well-developed scientific discipline among the helping professions that focuses on the analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of social and other environmental modifications to produce meaningful changes in human behaviour.

Physical Therapy

Pediatric physical therapy promotes independence, increases participation in community, facilitates motor development and function, improves strength, enhances learning opportunities, eases care giving, and gets kids back to their pre injury state

Testimonials

We are very pleased with the results we are getting at Associated Therapies from my son's speech therapist Cettina. Excellent engagement & fine tuning in areas where he needs the most help. His Verbal Comprehension Score on the Wechsler has gone up a great deal in just 6 months!!! And that also gives us the bonus of less problem behaviors, as he is able to communicate his needs better. His OT Olivia is also doing a great job, helping him with sensory & fine motor in a fun environment. And then, there is Sid, who manages the offices very efficiently & always has a kind word for me and my child. WELL DONE!!!

Allison is my daughter's OT at Associated Therapies. Allison is energetic and happy. She greets us each week with a smile! During therapy, I can hear my daughter squeal with delight while working hard with Allison. After therapy, she consults with us about our daughter's progress and always asks for our input. She obviously loves what she does.

My son had a great experience working with Sarah Nelson, one of the pediatric OTs at Associated Therapies. I knew right away that we would have a good experience when Sarah started our first session by incorporating a toy Ty was interested in into the obstacle course that she had planned for him. She quickly picked up on his interests and strengths as well as identifying areas that he is weak in. Although she really pushed him, he enjoyed the sessions, and it was easier to incorporate the activities that she taught him into our play. I really appreciated that she communicated with me and gave me lots of ideas for my son's sensory diet. I have seen improvement in my son's physical abilities, and I feel empowered because I know much more about how to help him.

Laura at Associated Therapies is very professional and has helped teach me ways to help my child at home by giving me ideas of things to try with her. She's been a great help in that area and I've seen improvements in her speech bc of the ideas and suggestions Laura has given me. After going to a different speech therapy group for over a year with very little results and the wrong diagnose, Laura realized after the first visit that my child does not have low muscle tone in her jaw area (as I was told prior) but my child has the opposite; strong muscle tone and her tone is not the reason for her speech delay. Laura has given me the right diagnose for my child's speech delay. After having only 4 sessions with Laura and using her suggestions at home that she gives me weekly, I've noticed my child saying more words. Laura is wonderful and I am so happy she is my child's speech therapist. I love our therapy sessions, my child has fun, and I learn ways to help my child. I'm excited for our future work and the progress my child will make with Laura.
